The Valencian company Aumentaty, celebrated its eleventh anniversary. In addition, it has done so by introducing a technology called Immersive Reality.
Esteban Anguita, CEO of the company, said that “the latest technology is useless if there is no message in it. You have to understand that it is a means to get the message to go through in a better way. ” Aumentaty, with 11 years in the field of immersive technologies, has managed to reach this milestone with the message: “Do not let the customer be swayed by the latest fad”
Anguita adds that “we have to show the customer the best technology for their purpose, and for this, we need to know well what their needs are. Using a virtual reality HMD, or an augmented reality marker because it’s the latest trend is bad for the customer and the industry. You have to understand that trends are just trends. Immersive technologies are much more. ”
The press conference, which was held at the Hotel “Balneario de Las Arenas” in Valencia, served to present some of these technologies and explain their uses. Thus, the presentation took place using Immersive Reality, where the subject (without HMDs, cables, glasses or green screens) is introduced in a digital environment with the use of TOF cameras to interact with virtual elements.
Ismael Estudillo, Technical Director of Aumentaty, presented the technology giving details of it: “It is programming work that looks great and has a striking impact on the audience. It increases the quality and effectiveness of the communication, can be done live, and helps the speaker to connect with the audience. All it takes is a good TOF camera (which measures depth) and a clear idea of which 3D elements need to be created for the user to interact with. This achieves an impacting visual immersion of the speaker while the audience can be immersed in the virtual world without the need of an HMD. It’s virtual, in real time, live, and with no external devices. ”
Thus, the presentation highlighted some data of the sector, such as the 90,000 million dollars that is expected to generate in 2021 and also the excellent turnover data of Aumentaty in its 11 year history.
In a stable way, the Valencian company has always been making a turnover in the million euros, which makes it the natural leader of the national sector by data and experience. Around 80% of the immersive technologies markets in Spain are companies that have been around less than three years and do not reach a 500,000 euros annual turnover.
With that scenario, Esteban Anguita sums up: “The proliferation of startups that aim to do interesting things with an 800 euro HMD is good for the sector, it dynamizes it, but it is necessary to understand that the important thing is to help the client to understand that technology must only be the channel. We advise our clients to optimize results and their messages. ”
Companies such as Disney, Dodot, Pfizer, Panini, Seat, Vodafone, Hasbro, Santillana, SM, University of Salamanca, Leroy Merlin, Adif, Pamesa Cerámica, Fermax, Telefónica and the Valencian Government among others, trust in Aumentaty to develop their immersive technologies.
Aumentaty celebrates its 11th anniversary with an increase in its annual turnover by 20%. “The sector is growing and that is good for everyone. Only the strongest, those who know how to understand the needs of the customer will remain, but the sector is more alive than ever, “concludes Anguita.
